Demon Dogz Flyball Teams

Bailey - Bailey Cream of the Peak

Black Tricolour Working Sheepdog

Owned by – Gemma

Date of birth – 25th September 2002

BFA Awards - Flyball Dog, FD Intermediate, FD Graduate, FD Advanced, Silver, Gold, Ice Blue Moon, Platinum, Pearl, Jade

Bailey was Gemma's first dog and what a dog he is!  He is very much the team clown; he is totally toy obsessed and he is very very quick running consistent low 4 sec times.

Bailey is also trained for agility although doesn't get time to compete very often!

Mac - Canen Robin at Bryning

Chocolate Tricolour Merle Border Collie

Owned by – Nat

Date of birth – 9th April 2002

BFA Awards – Flyball Dog, FD Intermediate, FD Graduate, FD Advanced, Silver, Gold, Ice Blue Moon, Platinum

Mac was crazy about flyball from the day he started training...so much so that the following week he went training he ate Nat's steering wheel trying to get out of the car!! He trained up quickly but it's taken a while to get him turning quicker off the box.  Mac took quite a long break from training and competition over autumn/winter 2004/05 after he suffered a tear to his cruciate ligament (a non-flyballing injury) but the wait paid off and he's gone from strength to strength since he came back, he recently achieved his Gold award and at 6 years old is running better than he ever has (a slow maturer )

He is a reliable dog that will run in any position for any handler and always give it 110%

Lexie - Sheltysham Special Spode to Bryning

Blue and White Border Collie

Owned by – Nat

Date of birth – 20th October 2003

BFA Awards – Flyball Dog, FD Intermediate, FD Graduate, FD Advanced, Silver, Gold, Ice Blue Moon

What can I say about Lex? For a dog that wouldn't even look at a ball of any kind until she was about a year old it's a miracle she has ever done flyball but Lex really is an 'all or nothing' kind of a girl! Her early training was slow because she's such an excitable dog there was no point trying to teach her anything until she was prepared to calm down and learn. This patience has paid off and now she's finally got it she's actually very good running consistent mid 4 second times. She is proving to be a fast and reliable little dog and also has a son and daughter running in the team in the form of Dylan and Faith.

Pipit - Wildfell Meadow Pipit at Bryning

Chocolate Merle Border Collie

Owned by – Paul and Alison

Date of birth – 30th May 2004

BFA Awards – Flyball Dog, FD Intermediate, FD Graduate, FD Advanced, Silver, Gold

Pip is a daughter of Mac and like her dad has been pretty easy to train.  Pip has a temperament to die for, very sweet and affable. She is an enthusiatic and reliable little flyball dog and a real pleasure to run, she always tries her very best and has earned the team nickname of 'Perfect Pip' because she never does anything wrong!

Pip will run in any position but she and Paul make a very consistent 'start dog' combination.

Ethan - Locheil The Future's Bright at Bryning

Black and White Border Collie

Owned by – Nat

Date of birth – 15th December 2005

BFA Awards – Flyball Dog, Intermediate, Graduate , Advanced

Ethan is a very powerful and driven young chap and has the makings of an excellent flyball dog; his training is coming along...what he currently lacks in technique he makes up for in enthusiasm!

Eth has improved dramatically over the last summer and has really started to show us some of what he's capable of.  He is now running consistently and reliably in open competition...if only we could get him to stop watching the other team coming back over the jumps!  (big poser!)

Dottie - Locheil Crazy Chic at Bryning

Black Tricolour Border Collie

Owned by – Nat

Date of birth – 28th June 2005

BFA Awards – Flyball Dog, FD Intermediate, FD Graduate, FD Advanced, Silver, Gold

Dottie is (as her name suggests) completely crazy!! Dot trained up very quickly and after a short and very successful stint in starters she made her open debut at 18 months old, winning straight out and she's never looked back since! She has run two good consistent seasons already and is a really useful little dog to have the team.

Teal - Cracoe Amy at Bryning

Blue Roan & Tan Working Cocker Spaniel

Owned by – Nat

Date of birth – 22nd April 2006

BFA Awards – Flyball Dog, Intermediate, Graduate, Advanced

Teal is now out running in open competition, she's really grown in confidence and is quite a speedy ittle thing! She made her open tournament debut at Carlton Towers over Easter 2008 and was a little star, gaining her flyball dog award and winning straight out of starters! Teal runs over 8" jumps (she's just a wee thing!) so offers a nice height advantage to the rest of her team mates.

Teal is also training in agility, which she loves!!

Drake - Spinchetti Cete at Bryning

Black & Tan Working Cocker Spaniel

Owned by – Nat

Date of birth – 31st July 2006

BFA Awards – Flyball Dog, Intermediate, Graduate, Advanced

Drake has a very nice natural retrieve (well...he is a gundog!) so has been relatively easy to train.

Drake has been running well and amassing points very quickly.  He is now proving to be a quick and reliable  dog with the most superb natural swimmers turn off the box I think I've ever seen!  !

Dylan - Bryning Truly Magic

Black Tricolour Border Collie

Owned by – Paul and Alison

Date of birth – 8th October 2006

BFA Awards – Flyball Dog, Intermediate, Graduate, Advanced

Dylan has trained up very quickly and he's VERY enthusiastic!!

Dylan made his open debut in division One  and was a total star, over his first season he has proved to be a very quick and reliable dog and has been a key member of our top team.

Unfortunately Dylan is had to take a long time out from training and competing during 2009 following a nasty cruciate tear but he is now back running and doing great.

Faith - Bryning True Believer

Black Tricolour Border Collie

Owned by – Nat

Date of birth – 8th October 2006

BFA Awards – Flyball Dog, Intermediate, Graduate, Advanced

Faith made her open competition debut at 18 months old in May 2008 and ran flawlessly all day, easily gaining her flyball dog award and winning straight out of starters (what a clever girl!).  She has run a blinding first season and just keeps getting quicker!

She's eased back into running over 2009 following the birth of her first litter of pups and we hope for good things from her in 2010.
